Dresden in 171901

TimeRide has made it its mission to bring city history to life. Thanks to the use of mixed reality applications, visitors are sent on a journey through time and immerse themselves in the life of former eras with almost all their senses. To get in the mood for a virtual tour of the city of Dresden in 1719, visitors can slip into the roles of various baroque figures in the mirror cabinet. This is made possible by five augmented reality mirrors that were designed and implemented by FLUUR.

Immersive Learning Experience02

The visitor’s own life-size video image is supplemented by virtual clothing and costumes from the 18th century. He or she can change into the role of court jester as well as that of a maid or three other figures. History can thus be conveyed far away from the passive reception of images, text, and sound to use the advantages of extended reality for an immersive learning experience.
