Smart Textiles and interactive fabrics: At the Mobile World Congress 2018 in Barcelona, Deutsche Telekom AG provided insights into the development of intelligent textiles and their networking, among other things. On behalf of Elastique., the topic was communicated with our product KREEK in the form of a 3.5 m high monolith.

For visualization purposes, an application specially designed for this purpose was implemented: smart textiles that move through space seemingly weightlessly and react to contact with the viewer. The haptic experience of the fabric not only benefited the content shown but also contributed noticeably to the general immersion of the viewer. True to this year’s motto NOW. NEW. NEXT., KREEK made technological progress visionary and tangible in the here and now.
